NTT Data Aims to Expand UPI Payments Globally

NTT Data Payment Services is developing a hub-based architecture to facilitate cross-border retail payments, aiming to connect India's Unified Payments Interface (UPI) with other Asian fast payment systems. The company's Adaptis brand will unify its digital payment suite across various markets, including India, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Japan. This strategy represents a shift from previous models, potentially involving mergers and acquisitions to enter the lending sector.
